Can I Update My Brain and Push It?
I meant to say branch.
What I actually typed was brain.
“Hello Quinn, it seems my brain is again out of date; can we update it and repush.”
I typed that, thought I hit enter, and went for a short break. When I came back, this is what I saw. It made me laugh.
Because the longer I looked at it, the more accurate it felt.
My brain wasn’t broken. It wasn’t wrong. It was just running an older version than the moment required.
In software, this is easy to name. You pull. You update. You push again.
At work, we do this all the time. We just don’t usually say it out loud.
Maybe learning is just getting better at noticing when your brain needs a pull before the next push.
